Welcome to 4S03:Infectious Diseases - IN THE WAKE OF THE HIV/AIDS EPIDEMIC : UGANDA

Health professionals travel worldwide to study various traditions of culture and their health practices. A large part of a health professionals travels will include studying the way a particular country/culture practices health and wellness, often focusing on a particular disease prevalent in the community.

Assuming the role of an applied anthropologist, I have created an informative and educational website on Uganda focusing on their present pandemic: HIV/AIDS.

MISSION: to educate health professionals traveling to Uganda to alleviate the scourge of HIV/AIDS by providing information that will allow them to be more aware of cultural differences and various views of AIDS as an infectious disease.
